I should do that too, if there's money.

Today I rode around on touring rig mostly loaded. Blue bag on back will just about double in length when more food is added. I'm toting backpack also cuz I'm a glutton for punishment.

why not just add panniers to your rear rack?

I just might if I can score some cheap ones by noonish tomorrow. I'll still have my backpack but panniers would make it lighter, though. Got a couple 2 liter hydration bladders in the pack, at least one will stay in there at all times.

Today I rode my fIxiE to meetup with Jaytron and another friend to eat at "off the grid", a weekly meeting place of various food trucks.

I shot a video of a bromantic french fry offering. There was live swanky music. Dude singing sounded a bit like Gil Scott Heron.

Today,

Went for a 35 mile ride. Destroyed my time from downtown to this little lake I like to ride to ~10 miles. Just a sprint I like to do while out on my ride. Was flying. feels good man!

I just tried explaining velodrome racing to a coworker. He said it was NASCAR for hipsters.

ok, tell him it predates Nascar by like 80 years and stock car racing by about 50 years. I guess that's more hipster

Yesterday I got a flat, so today I...

-patched the tube
-mounted my current tires (Paselas) on my old rims
-snapped both of my tire levers trying to mount Vittoria Randos on my Wabi wheels (still not mounted)
-realized I need a spare cog/lockring and some metal levers, maybe that Kool Stop tire bead jack
-removed/covered all the ugly branding on my Moto Messenger, and have yet to decide if I made it uglier

ok, from someone that grew up between Trout Creek and Chipmunk Hollow (not even kidding) and was wandering fields with their own rifle at 9 years old shooting woodchucks, NASCAR is for sellouts that aren't willing to 'keep it real' and race on dirt.

Today I got in a quick road ride in before cutting grass, then went to put in a street ride and was getting pestered by a click/creaking sound. Wound up being a broken fixing nut on the axle on the rear wheel. Went for sushi, then got home and addressed it.

today did a social ride, was around 18m with a stop for booze. they went on a little further, but it was just another bar and my buddies were peeling off. I just wanted to keep riding, wish they'd stop worrying about the stops because its a good group of people to ride with and most of them only come out twice a week.

also today my cadence sensor came in. the part that goes on my crank arm rubs the chainstay by less than a mm, but it's just enough to make me return it :/ feels bad man

Yea, placement is kinda wonky on that thing. I can't get it to read both cadence and speed cuz my chainstay is funky shaped.
