1am tube change not so successful. Guess I'm not riding to work tomorrow.

Lessons learned: always buy n+1 tubes, and maybe don't change tubes at 1am if you're expecting to ride in a couple hours.

it took me awhile before i learned, flats on the go and what not. i carry a small pouch under seat with co2 kit and extra tube plus three to four extra tubes at the house. tubes are cheap.

plus i think you can buy them in bulk online

Most non-metal bands I've been in have mic'd small amps rather than pull out half-stacks. I am jelly of the guitar purchase. I sold most of my gear in late July to lay bills and get a new place. Still have my drums and a Strat though. Those aren't going anywhere.

Still would ride though.
1x10 (i'm assuming 10) with Duracci track crank = puresecks.

EDIT: click on the pic to see it in the owner's Flickr page. There's also a pic of it set up FG/SS, and it looks shiny there.

EDIT again: did the work for y'all

That's a lot of amp for an apartment. You might consider an attenuator. I keep my AC30 clone on the 1/2 power setting in the house and at most gigs.

Today I got an e-mail from a dude who wanted to buy a Kilo TT from BikesDirect and have it shipped to my shop so I can swap some of the parts on it before shipping it to him.

Crazy, kind of... you going to do it?

At our shop, that would be $100 for assembly and then tear down and repackage for shipping, ala carte install fees on components, buyer pays shipping.

The parts going on the bike -- did they buy them from you? If so, maybe a break on install.

I dunno: I can kind of see the logic. All kinds of scary stories of BD bikes not right out of the box, and no local trusted LB; why not have someone used to dealing with FG bikes assemble and adjust the bike correctly? Still saving money over any name brand bike (maybe) + pro assy/adj + pro install of parts.
