Leader 725tr Geometry?

Does anyone know of a chart with the geo for the 725's? I am looking at building one up but cant find info on them geometry wise. Right now I ride a 59cm Steamroller which has a 23.1cm top tube length and a 32.9cm standover. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Aside from the stays being about an inch shorter, I believe it's the same as the V2:

The 2011 version incorporate the statement in the quote above the screenshot; otherwise it is as it is in the picture exactly for the 2010.

Thank you very much, really appreciate it. Not sure what size to go with. The top tube length seems that it would fit me just fine on the 58 but the standover seems a little short but might be more comfortable that way.

Go with top tube size for fit. Leader's are generally long on that TT, based on classic geometries. May feel short on the ST, but that's why you have a seatpost.

Absolutely go for top tube length and ignore how low the standover is. The 725 was designed to be long and low.

I ride a 58cm Leader 722 but my 725 is a 55.

Thanks for your help guys. Trying to decide between the 58 and 61.

Scrodzilla 04-20-11 04:07 AM

Assuming you mean your current top tube is 23.1 inches (which = just a hair over 584mm) and you're comfortable on it, I'd suggest going with the 58 which has a top tube measuring 584.6mm.

Yes, I did mean inches sorry. Thanks for the recomendation Scrod. Looks like it will be the 58cm then. Now I need to put together a parts list for. I am going to get the carbon leader fork and most likely will run some velomine black veeps on it. I have a Thomson elite seat post that need a home and also a specialized avatar saddle to go with it. Thinking about going with black omniums with another set of shimano spd mountain pedals.

Hate resurrect an old thread, but I am having trouble deciding which size to get. I ride a Scattante SSR 54cm w/100 stem, and find it to be a bit of a stretch. I was wondering if any other short individuals have any experience with the Leader 725 Mid geo. I was thinking about ordering a 53cm...I am 5'9 32in inseam, and I am proportionate (meaning no short/long extremities. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've done the inputs for that calculator, and it just spits out data for road...

Jaytron 11-25-11 01:05 AM

So what's the problem?

calv 11-25-11 01:06 AM

Read the posts in the thread. Go by top tube. So just match up the same TT length that you have on your Scat frame (maybe a little smaller, since you say you feel a bit stretched), and go from there.

sungam123 11-25-11 01:16 AM

Wow. So I should be grabbing a 51cm since it has a 546.3 TT; just seems so small. Thanks for info.

I'm not a super small guy, but I was comfy on my 54cm gravity swift. Ended up buying a 51cm leader(similar TT lengths between the two) and it fits me well. The stand over height is a bit lower, but I like the fit.

How tall are you, and did you get the 725 or 722ts? Here is a link to the site that has me thinking the 51cm is too small. http://traffic.wemakethings.de/index...mart&Itemid=26

calv 11-25-11 04:19 PM

Come on, man. Look at his sig. "Leader 722TS Raw [PedalRoom]"

I'm somewhere around 5'10" and stocky. Slightly shorter than average legs(pants are a 30" inseam, never measured actual inseam), probably average length arms. Frankly, if I had to do it again, I'd opt for the 53, but I wouldn't get rid of this bike just to bump up a size. I'm plenty comfortable on the 51.

sungam123 11-25-11 05:03 PM

Yeah, the TT on the 722's aren't as drastic of a jump as the 725; 51cm=546.3 and 53cm=558.3. Was hoping there was a 5'9 individual out there that is comfortable on the 51cm. Paying 115$+ for a fit here is ridiculous. Guess I'll just grab a 51 and hope my knees and thighs don't bang on the bars when I stand up on it.

Scrodzilla 11-25-11 05:15 PM

Unless you have arms like a T-rex, I'm going to advise against a 51.

I'm 5'10" and ride a 58cm 722 very comfortably. My 725 was a 55 and had a top tube length that was really close to my 722.

sungam123 11-25-11 05:23 PM

My arm length is 24.9in from clavicle notch to knuckles on fist. If you're on a 55 at 5'10 I think I can pull off the 53; are you using a stubby stem?

Scrodzilla 11-25-11 05:29 PM

I had a 70mm stem with bullhorns and a 90mm with drops/risers.

sungam123 11-26-11 07:01 PM

Should I go with the 51cm though since it's tt is 546.3 and my measurements from competitive cyclist for tt are:
Competitive 54.0 - 54.4
Eddy 54.0 - 54.4
French 55.2 - 55.6
