Worth It?
It's going for $70
"Bike is in Very Good condition, ridden, but not abused, a few light scratches as you would expect from a 20 year old bike, but otherwise in very fine shape as it has been kept in doors. Wheels are true, tires, handlebar tape, and freewheel have been replaced recently. Bike rides beautifully and is very comfortable with the gel seat. Components: Suntour Cyclone Derailleurs, DiaCompe 500 Brakeset, Sugino GS Crank." http://b.im.craigslist.org/gl/GD/M6z...MNJpzGDeEl.jpg |
Of course I'll fix it 'cause it looks broken to me.

What are those things sticking out from the handlebars?

You should get rid of them. They are not aesthetically pleasing to me. And my opinion counts for everything.

$70 sounds kinda high to me. I know nothing about Nishiki's so I can't say for sure. i would try asking in the Vintage forum. Those guys know all things old and funky. Any info on what it's made of?

Sounds reasonable to me. Think about it this way....would you pay $40 for the frame? If yes, how much would you spend for the various parts to build her up?

Sounds good to me. And I like the brakes, all antennae like. There's something to be said for them because the classic road racer is such a streamlined, well behaved profile and then you see these brake cables which rise 6 inches in the air and it just strikes me as kinda crazy.
