Weight isn't a huge factor; I just want it to be lighter than what I have. I know if I make my goal weight loss I'll spend way to much on parts. My other components aren't super light anyway.

What's the tubing on your Schwinn? Double/triple-butted chromoly can be pretty damn light, lighter than cheap aluminum, which you'd basically be getting at a $275 price point.

Now I'm weighing my options on a Motobecane Team Track... It seems to be just like the leaders, but cheaper (found one used)

im considering selling mine, its too small for me... its stiff and fun but wont treat your soft bits very nice on the road..
