BFSSFG Ride?
So I've noticed that a lot of bfers live pretty close to each other and I was wondering if people ever wanted to have a ride where all the guys on this forum could meet up. Now I not everyone lives in like the LA area but there are quite a few cities where there are multiple guys from this forum. So to sum it up group ride anyone?

Your cog is slipping.
The only reason the sub forum "sucks balls" is because everyone keeps starting ride threads in the the SSFG main forum instead of there.

People don't post in there because there simply are not any viewers. At any given time I see 0-2 at most while the main SSFG forum has hundreds. If you want to ride with people you aren't going to make a thread in a section that no one looks at and wait 2 years for a response. You are going to post it in the one where hundreds of people are looking to get an immediate response.
Is there a need for a SSFG rides sub forum anyway since there is already a main one for regional rides / events? (This too only has 1 viewer).

There comes a point where too many sub forums are just detrimental to the community. It spreads it too thin and does not get any traction.

Your cog is slipping.
I hear what you're saying but it can also easily be looked at from the perspective of "there's no traffic because no one posts there".
I do feel it's good to have a separate place to promote SSFG-type rides like alleycats and such free from the typical "Oh, you fixed gear hipsters" comments that would most likely occur if posted in the general regional sub-forums. Plus, I have a feeling a lot of the members who frequent SSFG don't wander into other sections of the site to look for such things. The same goes for having a separate SSFG marketplace.
Feel free to PM Tom Stormcrowe and voice your concerns should you disagree.

I spend my summers about 20 minutes from Temecula, so I approve of this.

Constant tinkerer
I don't think I checked out any of the subforums for a long time after joining. Or I checked them and never went back because no one posts there.. Somewhere there's a balance between having too many subforums that no one looks at, or not having enough which leads to clutter on the main SSFG page.
