It seems to not have brakes on it, yeah I see the caliper in the front, but how does thou use this mystical brake without a cable and lever?

It seems he took a older Giant frame, added a fork that came with a threadless headset, added some worn out wheels to it, made it a SS with a useless chain tensioner, and forgot a working brake set up

You can always buy some cheap brake levers and some cables

He's probably measuring from the top of the tubing to the bottom. Honestly a easy mistake.

I believe that if your going to spend some big $$$, shipping should be included. But that's just me. I've shipped a bike for $30 before. It was slow, but it got there.

Nothing special really, 25lbs in geared form. Chromoly. Figure a few pounds less depending on how much the components weigh. I'd say bid $150 max, plus the $50 shipping. Since it's not totally done. But if you really like the look of it, I don't think going to $200+ would be terribly unreasonable.

Actually, since it's got the carbon fork now too it could be a pretty nice ride. Could possibly get into the low 20lb range with the right components. Consider asking the seller what it weighs as pictured.

Looks like it has a tensioner because of the vertical drop outs (even I knew that).

I thought the shipping costs looked reasonable (compared to some ridiculously over inflated shipping costs I see on some bikes). If shipping was included, I'm sure people would factor that into their bidding and most likely bid more.

Thanks for all of the advice(except for botbyte, who seems to be borderline retawded). I'll probably just bid a max of $150. thanks.

it has a chain tensioner because it has shallow drops that usually allow about 1cm of travel or less.

if that's what you want, it's a fine bike. the stem is probably too short, designed for doing tricks, not riding across town, but that's an easy fix, especially if you are already going to have to shell out for brakes.

Maybe if you filed out the rest of the dropout; you might not need the tensioner....
