building from frame up help
whats up guys. i am a noob when it comes to building a bike. but i got a frame for free and want to build my own fixie/ss from the frame up.
now my noob question is, now that i painted the frame. where do i start at? which part should i set out to buy first? forks? BB and crankset? thanks guys |
fork and headset are required before you get a stem, bars, and a front wheel
BB is required before you get the cranks, chainring, and chain rear wheel is required before a cog and lockring or freewheel. seat post is required before you get a seat |

You need them all before you can start riding it. Well, I suppose you can get away without a seat and seatpost, but I don't think it would be a fun ride. I'd start with a set of wheels, because that will likely be your biggest expense. |
I was thinking of it in an assembly perspective, not a purchase perspective. You are right striknein
