1 1/8 inch threadless carbon fork with 38 mm rake
 

Apparently this is the holy grail. Or it is at least as hard to find. Does anyone know where one can be had?

Edit: It is actually a 35 mm offset. Not a 38.

Or if one cannot be found, what would a 43 mm road fork do to the handling on my felt track bike? I only use it for commuting. The headtube angle is 74 degrees.

I have found an ENVE 2.0 for with 40mm offset. Can anyone confirm that my steering would not be too effected with this fork?

1st Post - Alpina F04, Leader 1806TR are a couple that come to mind.
2nd Post - When it comes to handling, the 43mm road fork would be more relaxed than the 35mm track fork. The road fork would be more ideal for you since you are using your Felt for commuting and not on the track.

Your handling might feel a little bit sluggish with a new 43mm rake fork.

I love my 30mm rake forks on my IRO.

Alpina makes 2 30mm forks. A basic one with an aluminum steerer and an expensive one with a carbon steerer. I use the basic one on my Tiemeyer. It's very twitchy at non-race speeds. But, at speed, it tracks very well.

For a street bike, I'd suggest that you use 40-45mm.

Im thinking about going to the ENVE 40 rather than a 43. I have heard that anymore than a 5 degree increase in rake will be noticeable. I also need it to be drilled for a brake. I will check out the other options you gents suggested.

The Alpina forks are not drilled for brakes.

I think the Enve fork is like $600. You are paying for the light weight.

I ordered the enve 2.0 with a forty mm rake.Will be putting on a new wheel set and Paul royal flush crank as well. I'll get some pictures up when I'm done. Thanks for the help.

wait, with a 74deg head tube, won't a 43 feel way twitchier with a hell of a lot less trail? 30mm would have a crazy amount of trail. don't know if the short wheelbase offsets the huge trail though.

Holy grail? What do you mean? There's one right next to me.

A salvaged/ parted out 2010/ 2011 cinelli vigorelli fork (they come with a stock columbus 35mm rake carbon fork) is your best bet for price although salvage is more likely considering how people abuse them just like pista concepts.

Flip side is, the fork crown is aluminum and can be drilled; heck the 2010/2011 fork has a factory painted bulls - eye for where to drill for a brake if it wasn't already factory drilled.
