Chain slip

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out why the chain on my fixed gear recently slipped and I'm looking for some input. My chainline and tension are both fine, but my chain still slipped off of the cog and the chainring while I was slowing down. My only thought is that my 3/32 chainring caused it because both the chain and the sprocket are 1/8. Could that explain it?

No that would work fine...did you maybe hit it with your foot or something?

I think he means slipped off like throwing a chain not non-tight locking kinda slip?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BAM one.thou.sand. thank you very much guys. couldnt have done it without all your trollenz <3

why is this still not a sticky yet?:
"If you cog/chain/chainring/crank/pedal/tyre slipped: It most likely is your untightened lockring. did you tighten your lockring since you've gotten your bike/wheel? no? yea that's it."

I think not reading the post is almost as annoying as people asking stupid questions.

oh and check for bent teeth on your chainring that would be a very likely culprit
