Where to buy?
 

I have a new IRO Mark V in transit to me from NY as we speak. I want to buy a set of MKS GR-9 pedals to complete the bike(for now). I was wondering if anyone has any good sources to get them? The best deal I have found so far has been at Harris Cyclery and MomoVelo. From what I have read momovelo is pretty questionable. Anyone have any input? Google wasn't much help.

bensbike on eBay usually has them. I don't think they have any up right now. You might try emailing them and asking. Their Buy Now price has been $26 or so.

just remember GR-9s are disposable pedals. No bearing maintanance possible. Their track and touring pedal however are serviceable.

Yup, and not nearly as comfy or efficient for soft soled street shoes. The first is a personal preference, you may disagree, the latter is a matter of physics and undeniable.

Spread the word!!! DO NOT BUY FROM MOMOVELO!! I ordered a folding bike from them February 2nd, 2004. My confirmation said it would be shipped within 24 hours but it never arrived. I contacted him after a couple weeks and said he would be in in a month so I opted to wait. The production of the bike (Dahon) has continuously been put back to where they are now forecasting January 15th, 2005. I don't blame Momovelo for the production of the bike but they have refused to respond to numerous e-mails about refunding my money or changing the order to something in stock. They don't have a valid phone number and have a history of horrible customer service!!
