Rule #
33// Shave your guns.

Legs are to be carefully shaved at all times. If, for some reason, your legs are to be left hairy, make sure you can dish out plenty of hurt to shaved riders, or be considered a hippie ****** on your way to a Critical Mass.

:p

Hah. Currently have a tab open for The Rules.

This was the worst part for me. My legs were ****ing sand paper after a few hours and my gf absolutely hated it.

I shaved my legs once. The hair never came back the same. Its all patchy and weird now. It sucks being Asian sometimes.

When I was growing up, my dad always told me to eat my potatoes at dinner because "it'll make you grow hair on your legs and chest". Still not sure why it was potatoes specifically that both my parents brought up. Maybe cuz Irish.

Try being quarter arab, I had more hair on my legs at 14 than most adult males.

europa 04-06-13 06:50 AM

There's no way I'm shaving my legs, people might mistake me for a roadie

rex615 04-06-13 06:54 AM

One useful shortcut to shaving your legs at the beginning of the season, is to take a hair clipper to them first and get most of the hair off. this leaves much less hair for the razor. The razor doesn't go dull as quickly.

Also shave with the grain (down in the direction of the foot). It won't give you as close a shave, but will irritate the skin a lot less.

Don't forget to put some aftershave on them to deal with any unavoidable nicks. The stuff for your face works fine, but i prefer something like less perfumey like witch hazel, i don't want to smell like I just showered in cologne.

Also, when you're shaving your legs, it helps to listen to this song:

Muffin Man 04-07-13 12:16 AM

Hell yeah we are.
I like rice, so its all cool. Or at least I have been trained to like rice.

SpeshulEd 04-07-13 09:56 AM

How can someone not like rice? That's crazy talk!

Muffin Man 04-07-13 09:11 PM

Fixed metric century, or climbing with the CAAD to try out new wheels?

Nagrom_ 04-07-13 09:16 PM

Whats wrong with the hubs?

hairnet 04-09-13 12:34 AM

you guys just made me realize I just have the itch to upgrade.

Nothing is wrong with my current hubs and tbh wasnt really looking to accomplish anything. Im slowly building up my bolt and wheel set came up on the list. I just use it for riding solo or going to group rides.

Leukybear 04-09-13 12:58 AM

Pistards are not spectacular. You're most likely making a horizontal move if you choose to "upgrade"... A better plan would be to save for a better set.

replace the bearings with phil wood cartridges and just tell people you're riding one of their new prototypes.

Tulok 04-09-13 10:52 AM

Should I put 175mm cranks on my fixie? I'm 6'3, I like longer cranks. I have an extra 175 laying here, but I'm not sure if I'm going to pedal strike...
