So today I removed all the remaining parts from the Vilano that I had not already transferred to the Motobecane Messenger whose parts I had transferred to the Leader Cretin. So now I'm just left with a bare frame and fork, which are pretty much worthless and I'll never build up again. Should I just throw it out with the next trash pickup or can you think of any practical use for it ?

Pompino is cheaper, in stock, known/reviewed frame. Mash is pricier, prettier, but Mash can't even list a proper geo chart for the thing, which means I'm guessing a 57 will fit, also won't ship till end of April.

Bike will be my do everything bike, allowing me use use my Pre Cursa solely on track.

i like the pomp, i still wish i bought one, its very versatile as far as tire sizes and brazeons

I have a state bicycle undefeated. I got it used off ebay and i was sent one that had way more cosmetic damage than pictured. I was compensated (state has great customer service) but the blemishes are getting on my nerves. This is my main track racing/ road riding bike. I have 3 options: get the 2015 undefeated frameset, get a bianchi pista, or get a cinelli vigorelli? any input? as much as i love state, I kinda want to step up to the big boy bikes (and yes, I realize that you are paying for a brand name as well). I know the pista vs cinelli debate has been posted so many times so i decided to post in here. thanks

^^^ You are not stepping up with the Vigorelli or Pista. The Undefeated is better than both, especially the Pista. If you like the Undefeated, I'd just get another one.

I just built up a pompina today a friend, he got the matte grey/raw paint, it looks really good. He's got some panaracer 40c tires on there now and that's about max I'd run.

My only complaint is that it's pretty heavy but it's an XL and uncut stock fork still.

Should I sell my conversion? Old 70s Japanese frame and rides nice but I just never seem to ride it. So hard to part with a bike.

I see. I'm not too keen on the undefeated look anymore. If I'm gonna upgrade at this point, I might as well just pay for what I really want. Is the cinelli's columbus aluminum really a difference maker?

It's not really about discerning the mixture of aluminum at this point with high end aluminum. It's more about the shape of the aluminum tubes and geometry that count.

what would be more advisable for track racing? a super pista or a vigorelli?

thanks for the input guys. I currently ride a 52cm undefeated and I know the bianchi only comes in 51 and 53. I am 5'10" ish so i assume 53 would be the better option?
