I like the way they look but the price tag is a turn off.

yeah, price isn't insane but it doesnt really make me want the product any more.

It kind of looks like the DI2 hood. I don't think that would look good on a typical single speed, but that price will keep them off ordinary builds

I thought it looked like a tektro RL340 grip with custom lever, but actually I've never seen anything like that TRP lever.

You just have to make sure to use those TRP levers with brakes that have a QR, unless you want hard to remove wheels.

It has a tab in the lever as a QR, like Campy levers

I must be blind, because I don't see it, but I think you are right, because those TRP caliper brakes don't have a QR built into them.

A built-in push button quick release system provides cable slack for quick wheel removal
