Just pulled the trigger on a Schwinn Madison

Per the title, I just bought a Madison. Should come in the my LBS early next week. Last one from the factory with my spec. Red, Small.

Can't wait to get some miles on it and shed a few pounds or 15. I plan on keeping it stock for a while, until next spring more than likely, and I want to understand what I would like to change first. I'm new to SS/FG and non Wal-Mart bikes in general, so no sense changing things just to change them.

Cool bike, though I think I prefer the aesthetics of the older models. Good luck, and I hope you enjoy the world of cycling.

I had to jump on this one, the new Madisons have flat MTB handlebars or bull horns, and ugly paint. I wanted plain and simple with drop downs. I found what I wanted

In as much as I love the aesthetics of my madison, I'm definitely a "function over form" kinda guy. If you love it, ride it, and enjoy it, then kudos on your purchase man. And fyi, aside from the sloping top tube, I dig the look.
