Headset questions...
 

So the stock headset on my Steamroller was due for a change.

I bought (and subsequently had installed due to not having a press) this FSA Orbit headset: http://www.amazon.com/FSA-Orbit-Thre.../dp/B001HS2RKU

I put the bike back together myself and I have a little bit of vertical play (millimeter or less) in the fork that I can't seem to get rid of. I checked the top cap and stem to make sure they were as tight as I could get them and it still seems like I can't get it to seat properly.

So could it be:

a bad install (crown race or otherwise)?

the star nut being out of place for the new headset?

some trick for seating things properly when putting together the front of a bike?

The stack height is most likely different from your old headset and you need another thin spacer. There should be at least 3mm of empty space between your top cap and the top of your steerer (inside your stem).
