RYD Masher Pro

Anyone have any experience or knowledge on this frame?

I'm planning for a new build and was wondering how it compares to other framesets around the same price range.

But seriously, I was looking at their website. They only offer their frames in like 1 or 2 sizes. Lamo. Hope you can fit on a 53 or 55 with a 120 headtube...

RYD - formerly known as Red Your Dead. They've been made fun of a bunch here but their new frames do look much better than what they were putting out in the beginning.

So do 20 other frames. I don't think Tiemeyer owns the design of an aluminum frame with a cut out seat tube, tall down tube and small top tube.

kissena seems to be the only one with the extended seatmast.

relating to the thread -
1. it looks good, pretty nice.
2. 700 is too high. leader would be a good idea, or hell, a pista concept.
3. 2 sizes? :|

700 is way high IMO. I'd agree with Scrod here, just get a leader.

I do better welds than that and I've only practiced welding for <5 hours.

Also, that "beer can" head tube makes it look like a Visp or something.

Totally. Thing looks like a Heineken keg can.

Here, let's hotlink a pic so we don't keep giving them traffic:

The welds remind me of my previous 2009 leader 735tr... but a bit worse.

One thing I noticed, when I saw the frame in person, was that the top tube was rectangular (trapezoidal?). How would that affect the characteristics of the frame? Is just for aesthetics?

I think the design is ok (minus the head tube) but the manufacturing was poorly executed.

And whoever thought that frame would sell at $700 is mistaken.

More likely torque from your quads getting that front wheel off the ground.
