So I haven't lost all hope in the mall.
I was at Ala Moana, the biggest consumer temple in the pacific, and low and behold, I saw this sick ass RTO fixie. Sleek and with clip-ed pedals. So I stop and check it out with my girlfriend, who is like "That's a bike, so what? How much does it cost?" And then this other couple wander by and they start to check it out, too (perhaps it was just one of them).
Yeah, The Mall sucks nut, and Ala Moana is one of the worst, but when you see a fixie there, just sitting outside Longs, then shopping ain't so bad.
Days were, you only saw guys gawking at souped up Got Rice? cars, now you see 'em checking out fixies. What's this world coming to? Something better, I bet.
