Looks Peugeot-ish from that fork---and "du monde."

That's what I thought, but it doesn't have the Lion anywhere, the headbadge is actually "Champion Du Monde." The missing link is the seat tube decal, virtually gone and unreadable.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find out much about that bike. The only surviving decals say "Champion Du Monde" and the bare frame only weighs .5lb more than my Reynolds 531 Trek, so I assume it must be at least decent.
To be clear, I didn't actually buy that bike. I saved it from being thrown away. |
