Quick question about chain rings, cog, Chain links
Right now i have 52-16, And if i get a 15 tooth cog, my chain length would stretch out 1/4 inch, Because of the one tooth right? Now if i switch my chainring for a 53 tooth stronglight chainring, Will the chain distance still be the same?
Because if i added a 1/4 inch of chain space, from one tooth, Adding a tooth to the gearing would take away 1/4 inch no?

Your cog is slipping.
wait...you're running 52/16 brakeless and are thinking of going with 53/15? You might be too much man for a Visp.

If you're worried about clearance, use a half link.

yes, your chain length will be the same, but for the record, each tooth represents a half-link (a link of chain is both the inner plates and outer plates) of a 1" chain, the universal standard. so we are talking about your chain changing by 1/2", not 1/4"

I think he is worried about the position of his axle in the ends rather than chain length. For this you could get a very rough estimate by dividing the difference in chain length by 2.
