Singlespeed frame with relaxed angles

I'm looking to find a singlespeed frame with more relaxed angles (73) than my current track frame (75) and with a fork that has 43mm of rake. Would definitely like the frame to be steel, I think I'm done with aluminum for awhile.

The only thing I've found so far is the Soma Van Ness, but at 700 with no fork, seems a little much.

Any help appreciated.

Leader 722TS? Here's the geo chart:

The accompanying Leader S803 steel fork has a 44mm rake.

Wabi's seem pretty relaxed to me.

Wabi is another great choice. Also, don't rule this out. I had one a while back (although it was green) and really liked it.

722 seat tube angles are way steep.

Look for a bike boom era Atala frame I have two. Horiz. dropouts, sweet chrome lugs, and cheap-ish non- butted tubing so they're not very coveted as vintage frames go-- but they're not boat anchors.

And I believe they're 70x70! I grew up riding them, built one up for my father (I got his stolen back in the day), and still have my mother's to restore and build up by the time my son can fit on it.

+2 on a vintage road bike. That would be my choice! I have several of them.

Agreed. The Atala "Grand Prix" is a smooth ride, but it was not particularly high end. The higher models have somewhat steeper angles, but still sweet.

+1 on scrods's suggestion of the nickel-plated maxway frame...
i have one & love the ride. it is my 2nd, i had the same frame in the same green he mentioned (se premium brew) & liked it so much that i bought the bikeisland version after my pb got messed up when i was hit by a car.

one of my riding buddies has this & for the money i don't think you can beat it...

Hey, thanks for the info. Although I like the built-in chain tensioners (another thing that I'd really like in a new frame) on the Leader, I think the ST angle is still too steep. Plus, I've heard so many things about Leader it's sort of left me a bit skeptical. The Maxway on the other hand, I'm sort of liking. Same thing though, 74 ST angle. I think the Wabi would be nice, good price, Reynolds tubing. And you can buy the whole bike for around 600, pretty serious deal. looking into how much the Canadian shipping is.

What are those, shifter-housing braze-ons? GTFO!! I've never really liked IRO's, something about them... to meh. plus, a million people in Toronto have one. price is right though. good to know the maxway is well liked.
