What mount are you using and where did you get it?

Performance 40-0330 Hurricane ATB Extra Mini Pump Mount. I used a Velcro strap to secure the pump to the mount. I also used a heat gun to soften the plastic so I could squeeze the clamps slightly to better fit the smaller diameter of the Road Morph G.

Cool, thanks for the reply. Does it grap the pump snug and tight even without the use of the Velcro strap? I will use the strap, just wondering if the pump is securely fastened by the U clamps.

Odd I searched like crazy and couldn't find it yesterday then just one search today and there it was. I finally found the correct mount for the Topeak Morph so you can mount the pump on the side of a water bottle cage. No heating of the cage clamps but getting the one Scooper recommended and heating the clamps is cheaper. But this is the correct one intended for the Morph: http://store.todson.com/store/wb-bra...ex-tpd-2c.html

Zefal makes one that is similar to that silca frame pump. It's nice because you dont need anything to mount it to the frame except one of those frame nipples. Someone knows what I'm talking about... But I've had good luck with mine. Just get the righ size for your frame and mount vertical Or horizontal.

Silca still makes a Impero pump, but it comes only with a aluminum barrel and a chrome handle. http://www.silcapompe.it/impero_en.htm
I still have a Impero in yellow with the Campy head that I bought in 81, but it's now for show, I don't use it anymore but it still works great. One word of caution, I had another impero before the above mentioned one and it fit really tight, I hit a bump pretty hard and the pump went flying which resulted in its demise. I suggest using a velcro strap in the center just to make sure it stays on. |
