yeah i've always been CX mounting and dismounitng (never knew the name for it). Just curious to see if there are any other ways of dismounting halfway between acceptable and hipster.

Seriously... why not track stand all the time? Even while sleeping too!

I do that sometimes cuz the bars are lower than the seat, and it's easier than leaning the bike over.

i dismount off the bike from all my bikes, none are fixed gear, all are clipless. learn to unclip both feet first. Nowhere near as smooth as Massan though.

Apparently I'm a hipster. I mount the bike over the saddle with right foot directly into the cage, pedal off and engage left foot on first crank rotation (pro-status).

I dismount by placing my right foot on the ground and swinging my left leg directly out of the straps and over my handlebars.

Unclip from both pedals, then throw a leg over the bars as if you were doing a leg-over-the-bar skid. However, instead of locking your back leg, just step off of it and hop off the bike.

So completely jackass, but if you want to make it mega-jack, do a leg-over-the-bar skid first, then hop off.

I want to make a video of how I dismount, but that would mean making a video of myself riding my bike, and possibly having other people see me making a video of myself riding my bike.

I cannot imagine anything more embarrassing.

Sounds like me as a little kid with my "dirt bike". Would just put both of my feet up on the bar and then jump off onto a soft looking patch of grass and let the bike land where it would. Eventually, I learned how to stop safely. Fortunately, that old coaster braked bike was build like a tank and just kept on keeping on.

Just practiced the Quicksilver dismount. Got it down in a good 5 minutes of practice. Lil sketch sometimes but it's a legit dismount.

I don't know if it's out of line to dig up old threads, but man that Massan video is unreal. That d00d's a madman.
