Choppers, for when the fixed gear fad winds down.
Not that I don't love choppers, not that the new Stingray or this new Felt don't look like a lot of fun... But what's the point of an off-the-shelf chopper? Same reason I don't like the Toyota Matrix or PT Cruiser. |
off the shelf choppers suck, atleast the schwinn does, i rode one at the local shop the other day and the bars and seat were really low, and when you raise them it looks, well, stupid!
|
hey kids, it may be off the shelf, but when you get it for cost, it's a fun toy for weekends and kicking around on...
|
I was riding the "Bratz" low-rider around Target, it kicked ass, except for feeling like it was going to fall apart in a few minutes.

PM me if you don't want to divulge in public. (i work in a shop too....E.P. is the best!) but i like the "Baron" as well, and it doesn't have the OCC knockoff thing going. the iron cross chainring is quite cool. http://www.feltracing.com/05_cruiser/2005_baron.html |
i think felt had the scythe in this big case outside of the convention center in vegas when i was at interbike. pretty cool bike, but not very functional...

Coolest chopper ever I rode one of these down first avenue befor the fad. |
Store choppers do suck. The best is making your own. They're not practical but are a lot of fun. Check this site out for some better ones.
