hey so stupid question, i have a 32 inch inseam, am 5'11" and have a 56cm bike frame will an aero post with a min. of 7.25" extension be too much?

Depends on brand. I guess you want to internet order or else you could try it in the store? Nobody can guess how much of the stem is 'aero' and how much is 'post'.
