Handle bars and seats
Hey, I was curious about wooden handle bars and where would be a good site to look for them? Also if they don't make the horn bars, how could one custom make it out of wood? About seats, what are good brands to shop for? My privates are hurting from the seat aha

I have made wooden handle bars before. You can laminate pieces of wood together and pin them so they are laterally stiff. try and find a press you can use though, or make your own if you have the will to. and then just do a good laminating job to keep them together and weatherproof them with tung oil or a varnish. if you know how a skateboard or snowboard is made its a lot like that. or you could just get a nice wooden dowel made from a hard wood like oak or mahogany or something. and i would recommend reinforcing the part where the stem clamp goes to keep it from slowly chipping away the wood. you could also try to cover it in thin sheets of fiberglass like how they do surf boards to make it even stiffer, but thats kind of a pain. I also would not recommend using a wooden handlebar if you are riding brakeless.

I'll just say this, wear gloves if you ride with wooden bars. When I used to row I would occasionally get an oar with a wooden handle and those really wrecked my hands even though I was thoroughly calloused (rowers dont do gloves)
