The steep one?

jdgesus 05-25-12 05:20 PM

thats what I'm wondering..
hate that hill

yummygooey 05-25-12 05:57 PM

rode down to westlake center (got lost) to meet point83's, then rode through the folk festival setup and then up the steep hill. 34-28, all the hills.

either i was going 3mph up the whole hill or i'm already getting used to (lol) hills?

63_dorinte 05-26-12 07:01 PM

I did a loop around town this morning to gauge how I felt, then headed south on Route 18. Ended up in Paint Bank

It was a really nice day, and I didn't push too hard. Too bad you can't see any scenery around here for the trees

Total for the day was 61 miles in the hills, fixed.

30 mile trip up a country road trail with my boss and his brother. Super hot, got burnt shoulders but it was awesome. Going to shoot for a ~40 miler this weekend.

Also, while I won't give it sole responsibility, I've gone from 224 pounds to 197 pounds since January 2nd this year! Fresh/healthy diet and lots of bike rides are definitely helping.

I love bikes!

May I ask what make/model toe straps those are? They look functional AND comfy. :)

T34418L3one 05-30-12 01:29 PM

They are Hold Fast straps (http://holdfastordie.com/) bought 'em at my local shop ~$50 I believe. They are pretty comfy.

Thanks! And kudos on that slick-as-glass bike of yours!
