Started off as a good ride with some decent hills. But then we ran into ****ty roads and I ate it. I love when construction companies leave roads with a 1" lip in the middle of the lane and not tell anyone about it. Those rascals!

I appreciate it dudes. The bike is fine which is what I was most concerned about, but the fall chewed up my saddle and bars.

Is it possible for me to get the city to pay for the parts? They had just finished construction on that section of roads and had cones off to the side, but no signs warning of the uneven pavement, as well as being on a downhill.

Damn dude, that looks ill.
Also nice pinoy flag pare. Maybe you should flash it at the nearest hospital to get some extra nurse love?

Trust me, I'm a doctor.

Non-stick gauze pads and a liberal amount of polysporin do wonders when you're trying to sleep and not stick to your sheets.

Polysporin then cover then wrap with tensor - it's like nothing is even wrong. Change daily. Just went through a good 2 week recovery on the exact same spot (some knee, outside calf, ankle bone). Good luck.

halfway through a hot ~25 miler in cape carteret, nc. Stopped at the closet sized post office in the community of Stella for some hard to find shade. At this point my bottle was almost empty, fortunately there was a country store about 3 miles further on. Return part of the loop was mostly into a strong constant headwind (common on the NC coast), kind of tough w/ my 50/19 setup.

I'm in Arlington. They were selling it at central market in Fort Worth.

A friend of mine hosts a ride every year in June he calls DARWIN. We start in Darrington and ride 117 miles climbing a total of 7300 feet over two mountain passes to Winthrop by way of the North Cascades Highway. Staying overnight in an old farmhouse, we return the next day doing a shorter route by riding back up to Washington Pass before loading into the support vans for the ride home.

This past weekend I rode it fixed.
Saturday, starts off with about 40 miles of fast paced riding on flat roads before heading uphill.

We're in bigfoot country..

Now comes the hard part. The descent off of Washington Pass. 30 miles downhill to Winthrop.

We return on Sunday, riding 30 miles back up to Washington Pass.

The final approach to Washington Pass is seen ahead.

And there it is. Another great ride in the books.
