Hardly, that ride was really disappointing. Was some group ride with some new team. Only like 2400 feet of climbing and only like 20 miles. Should be renamed San Bruno Hill.

That canal causes a cool optical illusion because you feel you are climbing and yet the water is flowing "uphill". As seen in the pic the water is flowing away from you, but you are obviously climbing.http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=357024

I have a 50/34 compact and 10 gears on the rear cluster, so 44x17 all the way up Mt Diablo astounds me. (and beats me to the top)
