Yeah, I've seen a lot of hate for the Kilo OS here and other forums. The complete bikes from BD were pretty ugly IMO, but I've seen some great looking builds. I built my OS up from the bare frame and I love it!

Yep. But I got no complaints for all the bike lanes they put in the past few years.

Very nice! I like those bars, what are they? Thinking about experimenting with a more upright/townie like riding position soon. I'll have to take some pics tonight after work or maybe this weekend. I don't really have anything worth posting at the moment.

Went on a slight detour coming home from some errands -- went to check out "wave organ".. Not much to hear since the tide was out :crash:

Can we talk about the bar/brake lever set up on the bike with fenders?

The front brake is set up correctly, no? I don't see the issue there.
One other question in terms of safety--is the carbon fork capable of handling a rack like that? Or is most of the weight being placed on the front axel? I only ask because usually when people put baskets/racks on high end track bikes, the basket is attached to the front axel and the handlebars, as opposed to the axel and the fork crown like we see here. It's definitely a weird townie choice, but also one that I can wholeheartedly get behind. Despite any shortcomings the build might have. |

nagromorton had reverse levers on his track bars way back when, and ive seen lots of them on townie bars. VO sells retro style ones too

Where is that gem?

Albany Bulb. Really amazing place, very tranquil, with lots of burning man style art just lying around. Right on the edge of the bay, with some fun little trails around it all.
I took a cool video too of one of my favorite pieces of art right before sunset, wonder if embedding if here works: |
