Please note that these are distinctly different bikes:
- Road Bike - Track Racing Bike - Street Fixed Gear Bike. (Also called a "track bike" because track racing bikes were the first in recent years to be adopted for this style of riding. This genre is also diluted with conversions and other bikes with "street" geometry.) About which of these 3 would you like information? I ask since the TT is so overwhelmingly recommended on this site as a decent starter SS/FG. I'm happy with mine, but am now wondering if maybe I should have gone more on the Road end (to each his own, right?). I've read the WT is a Surly clone, but does that make it more Roadish, or Street-FGish? TIA PS-I love how these threads rapidly turn into gif/pic-wars. |

Compare the geometry of the bikes you want to the bike you have to get an idea on how the bike might ride but a good long test ride is best. Riding around like Graeme Obree all day gets old REAL FAST. http://www.owenphilipson.com/blog/wp...2/62224859.jpg Naturally, some Italian hipster took it to the extreme back in the 1950's https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-c...520Bicycle.jpg More road bike would be like this: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Pdtl33UD__...amandaWeb1.jpg |
on another another note if u were to ride this bike with that rear wheel in Chicago you would probably get thrown into oncoming traffic (it is the windy city) and i thot that i invented that brake idea, damn it someone beat me to the production. owell..
