Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Fetish Cycles Review

I have seen some inquiries about Fetish Cycles and decided to post a review. I was riding a '96 Stumpjumper that is a 17" as my SS. My geared MTB is a 20" Cannondale and my Road is a 60cm Trek. I decided it was time to get a SS that fit. $99 dollars on ebay for a frame sounded good so I got it. $50 shipping sucked though. I am riding it full rigid with a mechanical disc front. The frame is a little heavy for an AL frame, but is built firm. Much more stiff than the steel Stumpjumper. The FC warranty seem OK, but I think you would have a hard time damaging this frame. If you are looking to build a cheap 2nd or 3rd bike you can't go wrong with the FC frames.

I purchased the MTB frame not the SS, because the SS looked overbuilt to me.

my fixed gear bike is a Fetish Speed Series road frame, I paid $99 but I think shipping was only $20 or $30
it's been fine so far, I'll probably fit it out as a road bike when I get a more appropriate frame for fixed gear riding
