I have seen plenty of SS Pugsleys. Sure, go for it

Santaria 02-08-12 02:53 PM

Wasn't really something I'd throw money at. More a case of throwing out an idea I thought was uniqueish; I knew they already had an SS Pugsley back in the day. I didn't realize that they were already making the fixed-gear from jump.

http://i44.tinypic.com/2rd7s0o.jpg Kind of cool it's a se trick frame. I'm guessing the extra triangles are for more strength.

PeDDeR27 02-08-12 03:38 PM

I think the main reason it is like that is because it's modeled after the Quadangle.

markaitch 02-08-12 03:41 PM

yep, quadrangle it is...sometimes i am just amazed at the provincialism around here???

if only that frame came in 135mm rear spacing with some kinda decent brake mounts...my 29er mtb wet dream

Philasteve 02-08-12 03:52 PM

Yeah of course it's modeled after it but why did they do that design to begin with? You think they did it just for the hell of it?

markaitch 02-08-12 04:11 PM

are you kidding...one of the greatest bmx frames? the question should be...why did it take them so long to build it into a big bike frame?

Philasteve 02-08-12 04:17 PM

It took so long because fixed gear freestyle just got big in the past year and a half so i'm sure they did it when they felt like there was a market for it.

markaitch 02-08-12 04:32 PM

so your real objection is that you perceive that frame is for fgfs?

sorry fellow bfssgers...this is the time to be posting a gif, right?

Philasteve 02-08-12 04:39 PM

Yes a se frame that has 14mm dropouts and a mid bottom bracket with a fork that accepts pegs. Yes I think that frame is for ssfg, and all the builds I have seen of it were built for ssfg. Oh and here it is on iminusd in the FGFS section. http://iminusd.com/fgfs/

markaitch 02-08-12 04:44 PM

and there is something inherently wrong with that?

redpear 02-08-12 04:54 PM

I have no idea what you guys are arguing about.

Funnest concept to me?

Your saying I should be flamed because it's not made up be built up as a ssfg? GET OUT THE GIF'S THIS GUY IS BRILLIANT! They just added a long top tube and every spec the new ssfg bikes have. I'm so wrong sorry buddy, have a good night.

nuhtowel 02-08-12 05:03 PM

The first fixed gear I ever rode was a pugsley. It was awesome.

I got no badge, no gun and no beef, but brah - watch this video.

Now that you're betta - it is a cool frame mate, I agree with you. No need to go into Xanax-mode:p

Thanks buddy, appreciate that haha.

Santaria 02-08-12 05:09 PM

Redpear,

That is a very cool idea. I've had the chance to ride SRAMs 2-speed hub and I kept freaking out everytime I backstroked the click to shift.

I'm assuming that at some point, someone will come up with a Freewheel-less 3 speed option that utilizes Di2 technology.

That's pretty damn cool, how much does one of these go for is there a site where I can find one retail?

Santaria 02-08-12 06:06 PM

http://bedovelo.blogspot.com/

It's in Deutsche, so bring your dictionary or your BF Deutsche translators.

Are they out of business I wonder? It reads like they are closed indefinitely.
