Chrome bag question/ bag customization...

So i got my first chrome bag last night(black on black with black buckle) and im contemplating taking it back for the silver buckle, i know this sounds stupid but in your opinion what sounds better?

Also, wanted to toss something on the back of my back decoration wise, what would be the easiest way? Iron on? Sew? Have someone screen print something? thanks guys!

screen print, paint, sew on, sharpie, everything. I just got bored with it after a while and the color started to fade

I have the same bag pretty much. Black on black with a black buckle, but i got mine about 4 years ago so yours is probably nicer. but i do like the silver buckle better. i think it looks nicer. And I have hot glued stuff to the back of my bag and safety pinned as well and the hot glue worked well and hasnt been falling off after about a year of it being on and in the rain and everything. but if i cold get a silver buckle i would, but i love my chrome bag and havent had any problems with it

Black is understated. Silver buckle screams chrome bag hipster.

I love that this is a thread.

I'm surprised this forum hasn't gone ape **** on this guy yet.

Black buckle here on a yellow/purple bag.

I haven't had any issues.

Sewing will damage the waterproof lining, and is a huge pain in the butt. If you have patches good fabric glue works. Screening on black fabric is harder, but still very do-able.

Thank you guys for NOT going ape **** on me yet haha and for all the suggestions! i really appreciate it

Less is more in my opinion. Going with unfinished parts won't scratch and fade over time and stay looking nice.

RE: get a seagull bag: I shopped around on other bags: seagull, timbuk2, manhatten portage and chrome are the only bags to consider.

Chrome is the cheapest unless you get the basic model on the other bags (note timbuk2 color combos and other upgrades on the other brands). Plus the shoulder support on chrome is clearly the best although it limits you to wearing it on one shoulder.

I got my bag, a chrome metro for 60 on Clist, wait it out as well to get a good deal and you can't go wrong.

Yea i got it on a friends pro discount, only paid $64 for the citizen. Stoked.

when I sew stuff on my chrome bag I just used a curved needle and do it by hand so that way it only goes through the outer layer and not the waterproof one, then I also use a little sewing glue stuff on the corners just to keep it in place just in case some of the sewing comes undone. I've had luck with this technique so far

Anyone seen a YNOT Junction bag? The strap can be switched to go over either your left or right shoulder, whichever you choose. Looks relatively comfortable and durable. Based in Toronto. I'd probably get one if I was in the market for another bag.

That is actually a good lookin bag. Kinda want one. Tired of having to constantly adjust my Timbuk every time I load it with something...
