Saddle recommendations for tt pro

Hey all,

Looking to replace my stock saddle with something more padded and less narrow. The Origin 8 classic lite and Classic sport caught my eye, any other recommendations? Also any input on safety lights would be appreciated as well.

Actually, I generally don't use a saddle on the kilo tt pro. In fact, they are the only bikes of which everyone here would unanimously agree that using a saddle ruins the ride.

Just go without one.

Serioulsy ...you just got the best advise you can get on the saddle selection...because no matter what anybody will advice it will not work for you. The saddle is the one of those things you have to find out yourself... It is almost like finding the right wife..
P.S.
Go with Brooks.

You're going to get mostly useless answers to your question.

Some will just troll you(like above)

Most will say "Saddles are all personal preference, what someone loves you might hate"(Because this is the correct response).

And the rest will write in whatever is on their bike right now without giving you any supporting information as to why they like it, or why you might as well.

-Yours in Christ

I understand that it's subjective but some suggestions where to start would be good

I ended up with a Charge Bucket because of the price and color options. It feels like a bit of an ass hammer - but then again I have zero ass cheek to protect me and other than the stock one I cant compare it to anything.

Exactly.
My wife started with the saddle as wide as american presence in the world. And now she rides Terry Zero Y - men's saddle..narrow as Suez channel and hard as as the war on terror....

I happen to REALLY like the Nashbar FR1 saddle. I also enjoy my WTB Speed V on my MTB.

BUUUUT I also happen to hate the Brooks B17, Fizik Arione, and the Charge Bucket. So yeah.

Dude, come on...what you're asking as pretty much along the lines of "What should I eat for dinner? Will I like it?"

We don't know what you're going to like. We've all had to try out different saddles to find out what works for us and you're no exception.

I would suggest Selle Italia SLR because I love mine, but it seems like its completely opposite of your criteria.

Get a Turbo or Concor.

For lights, I got a Serfas rear and Knog Boomer front. Both USB rechargeable. I hated messing with those hearing aid batteries.

Lol I'm not expecting anyone to know if I'll like it I just thought that within the stated parameters of more padded and wider than the stock seat I figured I would get a few legitimate responses.

Charge Bikes Spoon Saddle

https://www.universalcycles.com/shopp...s.php?id=32041
$26.00

I have the following saddle, not realizing it was the same exact model until after I bought it, heh:

Pilot Saddle

https://www.fyxation.com/shop/en/sadd...ot-saddle.html
$39.95

Either way, they're comfortable. They may seem a bit narrow, but I kind of prefer this one over the Turbo (which I have sitting in my closet atm).

I happen to think the San Marco Concor is the most comfortable saddle ever and the Selle Italia Turbo is a close second. Your ass may vary.

The Charge Spoon is also among my faves.

Some people like hatchets, some people like sofa's. its personal preference. I like them as narrow and as hard as possible. I just mount a seat post to my seat post... so i can sit while i sit.

Nashbar has a lot of good quality knockoff's(arione's, selle italia's, etc.) for 30 bucks right now, and if your order is over 50 bucks you can get twenty percent off with the coupon code:

030712

So try out a saddle, if you like it, youre good, otherwise, you can exchange all you want at no cost you to, meaning free shipping back and forth.

The spoon is great for me. Mine has a creak after a couple of years on my mountain bike and thousands of miles touring and commuting, but ****, it was 30 dollars. Probably the best deal bike component I've ever found. I'll just get a couple more.

If you're looking at origin8 stuff, I assume you are on budget, so I suggest you look at Charge saddles like other have suggested. Many people here like them.
