Has anyone tried these?

It looks kinda smart but does anyone know if they really work?

rekmeyata 03-08-12 02:26 PM

Your link failed, darn, I was looking forward to reading and seeing something funny!!

velocifer 03-08-12 02:39 PM

Well its not as funny as the name, but it's kinda clever if you ask me. Seems like the www thingy doesnt work. http://ass-savers.com works for me at least.

broakland 03-08-12 02:39 PM

this "technology" has been around for a while. You can make it yourself meng ...i love how it took 5 designers to make this one plastic stick to to shove under your seat when its wet.

Scrodzilla 03-08-12 02:50 PM

I once made one out of a pizza box in a pinch. And it came with a pizza.

adriano 03-08-12 02:51 PM

its quite nice to have this in my internet history now.

mattheis 03-08-12 03:00 PM

Now you'll just be stuck with an inverted racing stripe down your a$$

whitefiretiger 03-08-12 03:02 PM

ant going to save the ass in that video unless they have a version that expands to the sides. lol

i made something simular with a pocket knife and a piece of plastic i found on the street after a bad rain.

bones_mcbones 03-08-12 03:07 PM

moisture wicking ass hair lmao

Benson 03-08-12 03:36 PM

That thing is useless. If you see in the video her bag got splattered. Just get regular fenders. Fenders are suppose to be as close to the wheel to avoid wet ass.

bones_mcbones 03-08-12 03:37 PM

+1 on fenders. Throw 'em on your commuter/winter beater.

whitefiretiger 03-08-12 03:39 PM

only thing that stinks with fenders is you cant use the rack on the bus with them. never do the bike and bus thing myself but i asked incase some day i need to.

So I'm at work and thus will not be clicking on the link. Which also means that I'm completely lost as to what the hell is going on.

little plastic fender type thing clips under saddle on the rails.

Street rider 03-08-12 04:34 PM

Drink beer, cut cans in half and de-bottom/top them, glue together. Works in a pinch if you really need it.

rekmeyata 03-08-12 05:52 PM

I'm going to go out on a limb here and take the risk of severe repercussions for what I'm about to say.

I cannot figure out why a company that is trying to sell a product they created needs to resort to extremely unprofessional tactics and stoop to the level of street punks to sell their product to public. To use a unnecessary colored metaphor to describe their lack of packaging just turns me off from wanting to do business with them.

But that's all I'm going to say about it to prevent an on going shooting war here on the forum.

It sounds like you have far too much reason to be on this subforum. :p

Poopup stores are all the rage! Haven't you seen "On How to Make it in Amehrica"?

Humenbean 03-09-12 09:37 AM

I love how the backpack has mud spots on it because it's not stopping all the water from going up the person's back. +1 in the inverted racing stripe of doo doo water.

rithem 03-09-12 02:28 PM

these are cool I just made 20 of them out of .050 styrene on my router table at work ... shoot me

g0tr00t 03-10-12 04:45 AM

It reminds of this

Not just taint-savers but also extra groin protection padding.
