Riding fixed, no hands.

I'm new to riding a fixed gear bike, 3 weeks. On my commute to work this morning, 4km, I rode most of the way no hands. There was no wind and it was sunny, just a great ride. I've done this on a SS, but this ride was special because I now have total control of the bike (slow down at stop signs, time lights etc) without using my brake or with my hands on the bar.

I was wondering if FG riders ride no hands more often then they would on a free wheeling bike?

I use my hands because my bike has handlebars... <__<

Only time I don't is when I'm doing something else, unzpping/zipping jersey, stretching, drinking, etc.

nope, just do drink water usually. I find more enjoyment in coasting and sitting up no hands

As weird as it may sound...a lot of times when I want a quick burst of speed, I let go of the bars and lean back a little.

I should add that I only do this on my morning commute. Great way to start the day, watching the world glide by. I have to admit, I do feel sorry for the cages, even though they must think I'm nuts.
