Any info about this builder?
Saw this bike @ competitivecyclist and it's everything I wanted for a frameset/build I was thinking about (basically fast/light/igh commuter). Anyone know about this company/frame?

There's something you don't see on a SS/FG ? Disc brakes ? What are the chances the fork isn't steel like the rest of the bike ? Reading the link for them, sounds like they are taking big chances on mixing frame & fork combos, stays and such ? That frame set is a cyclocross with 700c's to make it a hybrid of sorts. I'm gonna need some time sorting the concept out ? From the write ups, sounds like the frame designer(s) have gone to great lengths to design each area of the bike to utilize whatever materials they chose to combine to build a unique product. Certainly isn't your square peg in a square hole design. That explains the odd appearances ? I guess when you do a pub crawl, over beers, billiards & darts, cyclists can discuss the finer points of the design ? Or maybe that's too much technology to discuss in a bar ? Pretty pricey too.

Shouldering a bike with cable stops on the bottom blows though. I've almost cut mine off a couple times... But just can't do it, even though I have to carry it upstairs after every ride...
Overall, very versatile bike, clearance for fat tires, option for gears, good brakes.

I prefer cable guides, then again I have a rear brake. What makes me chuckle are more expensive bikes that don't have them and the solution is a gaudy and cheap plastic tie wrap when a rear brake is installed. Nothing like a $ 700+ bike finished off with tie wraps ? I mean, even my Vilano has cable guides. They'll make the welds all pretty but won't weld cable guides on the tubing ?

Square peg in a square hole, a cyclcocross bike is a cyclocross bike, regardless of how many gears it has. Using that logic to classify and categorize this based upon the fact that it uses a single speed gear, if it had bmx grips or a bmx freewheel on it, it should also be acceptable to find it in the bmx section ?
