SE Draft Lite vs Kilo TT frames... Opinions please...

Hi folks I'm new to this but I've been playing around with a couple of fixes but right now I am trying to decided between a couple of bikes.

There is a Kilo TT frame with bars, stem, headset, seat post and seat for sale, there is also an SE Draft Lite complete for sale. I'm not too worried about the prices as much as the quality differences in the frames as I would like to customize whichever one I choose to suit my tastes.

Can some of you give me your opinions as to which frame you would go with between the two?

Thanks guys and this is a great forum :)

Hello and welcome. The Draft Lite is hi-ten steel and the Kilo TT is chromoly. The Kilo TT's chromoly will be a more forgiving, lively ride and is preferred.

Kilo TT wins.

The Kilo being chromoly is going to help with weight savings. My girlfriend has the Draft lite, and its incredibly heavy. Go Kilo.

My 55 kilo is is about 19.5lbs. My friends Draft is dumbass heavy. Straight up Schwinn varsity.

I've put together a Kilo TT and two Draft Lite, and I'd say the Kilo is definitely of better quality in pretty much every way.

It's unanimous!

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Kilo it is :D

The Kilo TT is a better frame, but all these statements about Draft having a less forgiving ride and being Schwinn Varsity heavy are mostly nonsense. The components have a lot more to do with the weight differences of bicycles than frames.

I think we're going on the assumption that both of the bikes are stock, from the factory.

But the Kilo the OP mentioned should be SUBSTANTIALLY lighter, as it doesn't have any wheels.

OK, but the OP asked specifically about frame quality, and asked directly about opinions about the frames. So maybe you need to reread the post before answering. Not trying to be a doosh, just trying to avoid miscommunication due to half-assed reading comprehension skills.

In my experiences, hi-ten frames have been more harsh of a ride than chromoly have been. I suspect the comparison of the Draft Lite vs. the Kilo TT would be similar.
