Pursuit handlebars

Anyone know some handlebars that are like the nashbar aero ( https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...54_-1___202447 ) except in 31.8 clamp size? Looking for at least a 40 mm drop.

World class track cyclists use them, while putting ridiculous amounts of stress down on the bike.

You won't have problems.

Stems can be had for cheap. Frankly, I'd probably buy a new stem to run with different sized bars(especially 26-31.8) rather than run a shim. Is there something special about the stem you have?

Have airwings, will be installing them again when I have time to build the bike. Shorter commute leaves less need for road bars.

The lack of a flat hand position. My hands feel awkward tilted at an angle when I'm not on the horns. They also feel slightly flexy, but that could be my imagination. Switching back to drops soon.

+1 on this. I have the Nitto RB021s and have the same gripe. I thought that these handlebars would be the holy grail of handlebars for me. Shoot, they look amazing, great shape, but no flat position unless you have your hands right up against the stem. Pursuit bars like this with a lot of drop curve downward RIGHT at the spot where I usually grip a drop bar...

the nashbar looks pretty flat and it still has a 50mm drop.

https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...Bike%20Aerobar

only 20 bucks too! Im thinking about getting these and putting a shim for my 31.8 stem...

It has a 50mm drop, it's not flat. It's not the most uncomfortable thing in the world, but it didn't take me long to realize I didn't care for them.

Ive got the nashbar, love the drop but I cant believe its 50mm, seems like much less. But then again im that jackass that has my bars tilted upwards a few degrees. Beware the nashbar is cheap for a reason. Flexes a bit and finish sucks.
