A brand new Leader 722TS for the price of a Pake ? Either the Leader was overpriced to begin (comparatively with what the going rate is for a Pake RumRunner) with or jump on it being at the right time & place looking for a frame & fork to build. Temptation for a frame & fork upgrade might be too hard to pass up even for me. But with the frame at $ 149, the lowest end Leader fork they have is $ 99 more, The bike I have seems to be holding up after 2 years, so maybe I don't need and this is more of a luxury/want.

Scrod, if a customer walked into your shop and asked you what frame lugs were, would you ask them "Does Google exist wherever you are from?", or would you just answer his question without being a pompous dick about it.

A shop like this actually exists. It's called Rudy's Bike Shop. oh the irony of his name... One rude mofo. I asked him for a 26.8 seatpost and he said they don't exist. Luckily for me I brought a caliper, grabbed a seatpost on the shelf, measured it. Gave him the Samuel Jackson snake eyes and left.

It's an entirely different thing considering here the dude is - on the internet - and instead of taking 2.5 seconds to look up "lugged frame" for himself, he posts on a forum and waits for a response. No one knows how to do anything for themselves nowadays. It's ridiculous.

Then again, you are the same guy who felt it necessary to ask a forum if having foot retention would have prevented you from crashing - after the fact - instead of properly leaning to ride a bicycle in the first place.

Why is it easier to post a question on bfssfg than to simply type "lug" into wikipedia? The only thing I can think of is that the person asking the question was too lazy to even consider what would get the best answer without inconveniencing anyone.

lugged probably isn't the right term. It has a fork crown, which is a piece that holds the fork blades to the steerer. A crown is fairly rare on cheaper bikes. They usually have unicrown forks, which work fine but are out of style. A unicrown fork has blades that are bent at the top to provide clearance for the tire.
