Should I even bother converting this frame?

My friend just gave me a Huffy Omni 10 frame for free, and I started converting it to fixed gear last night. Nothing really seems wrong with it, in fact the frame is in great shape save for a few scrapes, but i keep hearing super negative things about Huffy Omni 10's, is it because the components(which i will be replacing anyway) are terrible or something? because I legitimately can't find anything wrong with this frame. HALP!

No.

It's 2012, just buy something from bikesdirect.

The frame is heavy, the sizes of everything aren't standard, the dropouts are aweful, it will be expensive.

There are somethings wrong with the frame.

No. Spend $25 and get something less crappy.

Yes.

I'm kidding.

Yeah getting more into it I realized that all of the sizes were weird and I would have to buy a bunch of new stuff for it, and for my purposes it's way too heavy and awkward. Thanks for the input everyone!
