Is this jackass, or not?
Bought a new stem today, it was cheap and I wanted to be stretched out a tad more. After installing it, I am just not sure if I am jackassing up my bike. It's comfortable though.
Please excuse the messy backround. http://evisionphotos.smugmug.com/pho...-kmFSmKq-L.jpg http://evisionphotos.smugmug.com/pho...-wF5Hhsj-L.jpg |
If it's comfortable, what does it matter?
|
jackass? ehhh. ugly? yes.
it doesn't seem like you stretched out your position, if anything made it closer and upright |

I was under the assumption you had a more level stem to begin with because if that was your previous stem, your bike looked essentially the same as what it looks like now.

It's not jackass worthy.

The jackass thread is for bikes that are completely stupid and built for vanity. Yours is neither

Bullhorns and an upright position are a bit contradictory but hey, it's your bike.

Short stem and bullhorns is actually pretty typical.
|
Have fun with it.

I'm not saying you shouldn't like it. You asked a question and I'm just sharing my thoughts. |

Thanks guys. |
I think your bike is too small for you.

I thought it was upright stem + drop bars; short stem + bullhorns; low angle stem + riser bars are contradicting.

You need a bigger frame. And a thneed.
|
No. Jackass is running an uncomfortable setup because you think it looks cool.

think you just need more back muscles. they'll come. dont rush it.
|
All I know is it would be jackass if it was turned the other way. You're doing it right by not killing your back.

Frame is just one size small, yes. I wouldn't classify it as too small, everything else is comfortable. The bike is comfortable as it is, I actually was going for more reach, that's all.
