Why shouldn't I buy these wheels?

Just been looking around for some solid deep V's and these dont look to bad. Surprisingly cheap too. Any reason not to?

If you're ok with the weight of them. They're on the heavy side.

For the record, Jullians weigh 1320g front/1384g rear on my scale (5 lbs, 15 oz).

They're heavy but certainly bombproof.

i was referring to Mumokan's 48 spokers - 2860g claimed weight

they oughta be bombproof...

im using a set of the 32h on my ftp.
They are a little on the heavy side but definitely feel really solid. I paid $160 shipped for my set on ebay i have been on them for less then a month now but have gone and done some longer rides on them and i have no regrets so far. There laced to formula hubs just like most Velocity deep v's are. i took the decals off my all black set though.

Any suggestions for lighter deep v's? I love the look of the white ones but might be too heavy.

my area has some gnarly roads so i was worried about the wheels holding up, now that i know more theyre definitely overkill

they keep some nice momentum on climbs, its the whole stopping part that sucks

I've looked at those but they aren't as deep as the julians or the b43's which I like more. I just weighed my current front wheel and it weighs like 3.6 pounds. So anything is going to be lighter.

Nope. Julians have a dedicated brake surface and B43s have a true V profile.

Also, this is a boat anchor:

It literally weighs 6 pounds. Your wheels literally weigh more than a boat anchor.
