SS/FG are different then FGFS bikes. So why you closed my thread? And the link you provided is for SS/FG not FGFS bikes. Am I wrong?

As an experienced prior offender, let me tell ya... they run a tight ship here. They keep it clean and they don't take no mess.

Yes it is. But you geared it different then a plain FG bike. You guys run something like 46-16. FGFS is geared lower. Like 30-12 or 33-12 etc. There not geared for speed.

I think the law you violated has to do with threads that start with "what gear ratio do you guys run"
I'm no authority here so I could be completely wrong, just trying to help yo uunderstand why your thread got closed until Carleton explains officially (if he chooses to do so).
People here don't suffer threads like that. Gear ratios have been covered extensively in these forums and on the web in general, and really is a personal thing. A gear ratio someone else runs has no bearing on what you should be running because they don't have the same body and bike as you. There are gear calculators out there which can be very helpful.

2) Gear ratios have been discussed ad nauseum, which is why Sixty Fiver was kind enough to start a great thread on the subject.
3) This is not a FGFS site...which is why you haven't found any FGFS information. Go ask Prolly.

But as Jaytron stated
Turns out that FGFS are still FG bikes.

Dude, I bet if you framed your thread better it may have lived on. Just sayin.
You know, like a "anyone here ride FGFS?" and then ease into a discussion if you have the audience.

Your cog is slipping.
Just so everyone knows, it's also against the forum rules to restart a thread closed by a moderator.
Let's try this again.
