49t 144bcd chainring
Lately I've had some trouble finding a reasonably priced 49 tooth chainring. So far I've been able to find an FSA and a Blackspire but I was wondering if you guys had any other suggestions for 144bcd 49t 1/8 inch chainrings. I'm trying to find one in polished black kind of like the All-City rings.

FSA Pro Track. Cheap, strong, round.

That's my current choice, I just wanted to hear anybody else's suggestions before I commited

Velosolo?

+1 on the FSA.

FSA is by far the best ring at that pricepoint. You don't need to look anywhere else.

Unless you want to spring for either a Sugino 75 or Zen, FSA is a top choice. The huge logos are a turn off for some but I think they look pretty cool. |
i like those huge logos tho

I dig the logos, I just don't know how the matte finish will look with polished cranks.

I would expect that if you ride 175 miles a week on a fixed gear (sounds ambitious, but I'll take you at your word), then I would imagine that you'd be more concerned with functionality and durability more than color and clear coat. |

And its 7 in the morning 18 in the evening. I got really lucky that my job is far away and a long commute. And it pays awesome haha. |

I am concerned about both, I need my bike to work well but at the same time I like it to look good.

"looking good" is subjective. I bet that regardless of how cool you think it looks: someone out there will think your bicycle is ugly, flashy, pointless or just funny looking

What I mean to say, is look good in my opinion. I know how people around here feel about matchey matchey.
Ask 10 people here what they think and you'll get 10 different answers. The only answer that matters is from the guy who is spending the money...that is YOU. Here's what you do: Find out what products are available, and pick the one that works for you. Dude, making random people on the internet happy is impossible. |
Can you see the cranks and chainring from the saddle? I think your frame might be bent.
