what with it being cold outside and having moved back home, i have porridge most mornings made by my lovely mother.

logicproblems 01-17-05 09:57 AM

sometimes miso soup is too salty, but only sometimes.

Msngr 01-17-05 10:12 AM

i kid you not . . .this morning, i had chocolate ice cream with a shot of bailey's and coconut shavings on top. i then had the inexplicable urge for soup! really!

then i decided that soup was too salty for breakfast. at least today.

Woo! That's what I call a breakfast. You should have thrown some pretzels on top: salty n sweet: my new favorite ice cream combo.

There I was, in the Congo, surrounded by a hundred angry Pigmys with spears. How was I supposed to know all they wanted was a can opener?

I had an equally bad experience with my Surly hub, but kept quiet about it, because I like the company and love my Steamroller frame. And is Bloomington really your local economy? I used to work in Bloomington and it was like two worlds apart from Uptown.

manboy 01-17-05 12:17 PM

ramen.

chili garlic sauce.

coffee.

is there anything else?

It's a lot more local than say, Italy or New York or Japan. I think they're a little cheaper to buy at the LBS here too.

I don't know what I'd do without two chocolate donuts every morning.

techone 01-17-05 12:51 PM

Toast, butter side up. A glass of milk...
The beginning of most my days lately.

Lamb rogon josh. A few pints...
The excellent end of a day.

I love being spoiled. ;)

Gone wrong indeed. I mean, there's no way to know what kind of miso paste was used in the first place. Without that, you've got nothing. Nothing!!!

Internet forum...

must not reply...

...but you have so offended the editor within that I can't help myself.

It's not a sentence. It's a fragment.

Okay. I feel better.

My apologies.

I need to now duck and cover, because [165] and Karstens are going to skewer me for red-penciling the forums.
