I think you're going to have trouble with this. Before the bend and your lever is going to stick out funny. After the bend and your hands will not be in a natural position. Are your wrists deformed?

You gotta post a pic when this is done!

I was hoping that by angling the lever downward slightly it could be reachable from the drop part of the bullhorns. I don't use the brake much anyway, but I just don't like how close to the stem I have to grasp with my current setup. Worst case scenario I'll go back to my non pursuit bullhorns and a new lever.

The Goldfinger is a tiny, one finger-type lever and is cool for emergency situations but not for full on stopping all the time.

You could always just use a cross lever if you don't like the look of BMX levers.

How much shorter is the lever on the goldfinger vs the short lever of the gran compe shot? The lever length of the shot doesn't bother me, it's just the fact that I'm forced to put it so close to the stem.

It's tiny.

That's what she said.

That looks like such a cramped cockpit. whyyy

Install a bar end, and stop being such a slave to fashion. It's how it rides, not how it looks that matters most.

That's what she said.

I guess I'm confused as to why this is a problem. Would you prefer I ask a question about brake levers on my thread about centering my wheel? I thought this was a community where people could ask questions if they had them. Didn't realize I'd be criticized for being active on the forum. Guess I'll start going elsewhere for help.

Im active, a newb and soaking up stuff like crazy...search how many threads I've started?

Howsabout these guys?
http://www.benscycle.net/index.php?m...ducts_id=11926

If they work they seem like a great solution for brake access in multiple hand positions on bullhorns. my guess is they dont but I'm just throwing it out there.

That's what I've been thinking this whole stupid thread. If I ever run bullhorns again with brakes, I'll be getting these.

Never seen those before. Anyone have any experience with them?

striknein 09-05-12 01:42 PM

They're called guiddonet levers. They've been around for at least a century.
