Why do fixed gear riders have a hard time admitting they ride one cuz it's trendy?

Why do fixed gear riders have a hard time admitting they ride one cuz it's trendy?

A lot of people will say stuff like " you are one with the bike," or "you really feel the road," or "it's the ultimate in simplicity." While these reasons are valid, what about the people that got into it because they just thought it was ****ing cool? What's wrong with telling the truth?

Correct, I rode a friends fixie one year ago and some random girl said "sweet fixie big boy." The next day I started building a sweet fixie.

I ride a fixed gear because it leads to lots of ****ing. And not just sqrls, dudes too. They are all like, "sweet ****ing bike you ****ing rock star, we should ****." One time I was about to **** and this chick was all, "I'm not really into it," so I busted some ****ing trendy skids and got the ****ing started. Best this was that my ****ing boss heard about it and got a ****ing raise. And my ****ing dog stopped ****ing running ****ing away all the ****ing time. My ****ing parents saw how ****ing responsible I was becoming and not only got me some sweet ****ing furniture for my room but they raised my ****ing allowance. ****ing trendy? ****ing whatever bra!

Next time you ought to post a movie about how some religion's prophet is a pedophile. You might get more of a reaction. You can only troll a hipster about 12 or 14 times before they catch on.

Why do non fixed gear riders have to get so jealous of all the sweet grade A **** that we FG riders get on an hourly basis? Oh wait, I'd be jealous of us too I guess.

I went up to the Frisco Superdrome for a n00b track riding class, that was my first experience ever riding fixed gear. I decided right then that I had to have an FG bike of my own. It's a LOT of fun.

That's why I ride FG.

the people that got into it because it was cool dont post on a cyclist enthusiast forum, they just ride it to their vegan organic artisan coffee shoppe to get a soy chai nonfat macchiatto, and then to their gallery showings of stencils on old book covers, they dont have time for anything on the internet unless its finding the next indie folk band

I rode fixays so that one day I could coin the term "SW8 FIXAY" and have it stick.

Mission accomplished. Immortality achieved.
