I currently have an old Peugeot, with a fatty saddle and a back tire with loads of tred... makes it hard to skid stop. I honestly don't know what the "bottom bracket" is that would need replacing, so I could use some help there. Haha

Just found this guy as well for $20 cheaper. Can't tell what the brand is though

Your rear tire has too much tread which makes it hard to skid, and you're solution to this is to buy another conversion? The Peugeot will be on par with the other bikes you're looking at. Keep it and learn more about bicycles/what you feel needs to be changed on your bike.

Don't make any rash decisions.

Bottom bracket is what your cranks attach to, do some research on that. I wouldn't go out and just start dropping cash on bikes.

Why don't you adjust your gearing or ride more often if you only want to skid?
